About the work
Scent of Time is a quiet, meditative drift through time—color photographs concerned less with place than with the sensory experience of lingering without purpose.
The Bowen Island presentation marked the project’s first public showing and featured the first prototype of the book. The exhibition presented eight final photobook maquettes by Clara Fung, Leon Gallo, Victor Hoshiko, Paulo Lopez, Kyle Lui, Trey McNair, Diego Saldiva, and Toto Tvalavadze.
The year-long program was directed by photographer Greg Girard, with publishing collaborators Michael Kominek and Gonzalo Sanchez in supporting roles.
The exhibition ran alongside AFMP III at FotoFilmic Space on Bowen Island.
The opening reception took place on Saturday, June 27, from 2–4pm, followed by a reception from 4–6pm at the nearby studios of Miki Tanaka and Dana Lee Brown.
The exhibition continues in Paris in November 2026.
